EDFEND

Enables searching for and editing securities on the basis of issue type, price or description.

Note: You do not need to know the TICK, SACUS, or CUSIP for the securities. EDFEND also allows you to edit securites on the basis of who owns them.

To edit a group of securities by ownership:

1. At the Portvue menu, type EDFEND

The following will appear:

SEARCH WHICH FILE(BLANK FOR HELP):

2. Type the name of the securities file you want to search or press Enter to see the file names

The following prompt will appear:

##### SECURITIES CURRENTLY ON IBMSEC FILE
SEARCH FOR WHAT

where ##### indicates the number of securities in the database you are looking in.

3. Type a database manager command to select the securities for which you want to search and edit

The following prompt will appear:

XXX RECORDS FOUND
NEXT OPERATION (RETURN WHEN DONE, OR HELP):

4. Type AND and press Enter

The following prompt will appear:

AND WHAT?

5. To link the account file to the security file, type MEM and press Enter

The following prompt will appear:

SELECT ACCOUNTS TO BE SEARCHED FOR OWNERSHIP OF THE ABOVE
SECURITIES:

6. Enter a database manager command to select accounts that you want to find and edit the securities for

For example, if you wanted to edit the selected securities in accounts that have an RR code of 1, type RR EQ 1.

The following prompt will appear:

NEXT OPERATION (HIT RETURN TO CONTINUE):

You need to press Enter ↵ twice to return to the security link.

7. Type another database manager command, or press Enter

The following prompt will appear:

EDIT WHICH FIELDS: (? TO LIST FIELDS, RETURN TO QUIT):

8. Enter the names of the security fields you want to enter

The data for the selected securities will appear on the screen.

9. Using the arrow keys, edit the data by typing over them
