ED^GLTM^REPLACEMENT
The Gain/Loss Trade Modeling Replacement Security Table specifies default replacement securities for each model to be used when running the GLTM Tool. As proceeds become available in a sleeve, users can opt to purchase the default replacement securities supplied in the GLTM Replacement Security Table for a given model.
Note: This functionality is available when the GLTM configuration "Universal Replacement Security Table" is set to YES.
- At the WHAT NEXT? prompt, type WINDON, select the universe and press ENTER
- At the WHAT NEXT? prompt, type GLTMTOOLS and press ENTER
- Select GLTM Replacement security Table (SAMS and MAMS) at the bottom of the GLTMTOOLS menu
- Select a Model Type
All Models (default) List all SMA, MFA, and UMA Model IDs for the client SMA Models List only SMA model IDs for the client MFA Models List only MFA model IDs for the client UMA Sleeves List all UMA Sleeve IDs for the client - Use the TAB key to locate a model for which you want to specify default replacement securities or filter the list by pressing F4
- None: Displays the replacement table listing models for the selected Model Types
- Manager: Prompts the user to enter a Manager code and displays the replacement table listing all models with that code. If the Manager code does not exist for the selected Model Type, an error message will display, "Manager not found"
- Model ID: Prompts the user to enter a Model ID and displays the replacement table listing all models with that ID. If the Model does not exist for the selected Model Type, then an error message will display, "Model not found"
- Security ID: Prompts the user to enter a TICKER and displays the replacement table listing all models with the security ID. If the ID is not in any of the models for the selected Model Type, then an error message will display, "Security not found"
- Press F10 to display the Replacement Security Table
- In the GLTM REPLACEMENT SECURITIES AND TARGET % column, type the ticker for the replacement security followed by a space and then the target percentage of 100 or less. Percentages are allowed but not mandatory. Decimals are allowed with no limit to the number of decimal places
- Press F10 to save the changes. Or, to refresh the screen, press F9. To exit without saving, press F3. If you receive an error message after pressing F10, you must resolve the error and attempt to save the changes again
Note:
- Once opened, the Replacement Security Table is locked for other users
- Duplicate securities cannot be added. A message will display, "Security exists in the model"
- If the security is in the model, regardless of Hold status, and, if it is the SWAP/REPLACE security for the original security on HOLD, the message will display, "For MFA, security has to have an AST code (cannot be blank). If AST code is populated with any value, then it passes this validation. If it is null then it does not pass this validation."
- For Models with multiple Replacement Securities, validate that the tickers are not duplicates per submodel. A message will display, "The following models have duplicate replacement tickers: <model> <Type><tick>"
