DELBLOCK

Allows incorrect trades posted in blocks to be deleted.

1. At the Portvue menu, type DELBLOCK

The following prompt will appear:

ENTER BATCH NUMBER TO DELETE TRADES FROM (HIT RETURN TO EXIT):

2. Type the block number and hit ENTER

A review of the block will appear and the following prompt will appear:

IS THIS THE CORRECT BLOCK? (NOTE DATE): 11 3 1995 ?

3. If this is the correct block, respond with a Y. (If it is the wrong block, respond by entering N and you will be prompted again for a block number)

You will be prompted:

SELECT TRADE TYPE TO DELETE: (OPE, CLO or HIT RETURN FOR ´ALL´)

4. Enter the Trade Type to delete or hit return to choose all trade types

You will then be prompted for an account selection:

SELECT ACCOUNTS (HIT RETURN FOR ALL)
363 ACCOUNTS CURRENTLY ON FILE
SEARCH FOR WHAT?

5. Hit ENTER if you want to delete the trade(s) for all accounts or choose selected account(s) by entering the account SNAM's or by searching on any account master field (i.e., MGR EQ ABC)

You will be prompted to select the securities to delete the trade(s) for:

HIT RETURN FOR ALL SECURITIES IN THE BLOCK
WHICH SECURITIES (ENTER SACUS, TICK, CUSIP):

6. Enter a specific security to delete a trade for or hit ENTER to delete trades for all securities

Tip: Narrow down the account and security selections as much as possible so that you do not to delete any additional trades in error.

If you do not want to specify a particular security, you are also given the ability the select a particular issue type to be deleted. You will be prompted:

Select Issue Types (Hit Return for All) :

7. Enter an issue type (ISSTY) code or hit ENTER to choose all issue types
8. Review the block and if all will appear okay type (Q and then press ENTER

You will be prompted:

WOULD YOU LIKE TO POST THIS BLOCK NOW ?

9. Respond Y and hit ENTER

The block will post and you will see the transfer on the screen. If there are any trades that DELBLOCK is unable to delete you will see a NO DELETE message.

10. Type (Q and hit ENTER
11. Type (Q and hit ENTER

You will see a summary of the trades included in the block in addition to the block number.

You will be prompted:

WOULD YOU LIKE TO POST THIS BLOCK NOW ?

12. Answer Y to post the block

If you would like to post it at a later time, you can respond N and the block will be available to post later on through POSTNEW. If you choose to post the block later, be sure to remember the block number. The block will post as it does in TRADESNEW, displaying any error messages if there are problems in the block.
